How ProxyEarth Works

ProxyEarth provides publicly available phone number information using open-source libraries and trusted data providers. Here's exactly what happens when you submit a number.

1

Enter a Phone Number

Type or paste the phone number into the search field. You can enter numbers with or without the country calling code (e.g. +91 9876543210 or 9876543210). No account or sign-up is required. We do not log or store the numbers you submit.

2

Select the Country

Choose the country associated with the number. This helps our parser resolve ambiguous formats accurately. If you include the full international prefix (e.g. +44), we detect the country automatically. Selecting the correct country ensures that national-format numbers (without a leading +) are parsed correctly.

3

We Query Trusted Data Sources

Once you submit, ProxyEarth passes the number through our processing pipeline. We use Google's libphonenumber — the industry-standard open-source library used by Android, Chrome, and most telecom software — to parse, validate, and format the number. For extended information such as carrier name and timezone, we query legitimate third-party API providers that aggregate publicly available telecom registry data. All queries are done server-side in milliseconds.

4

You Receive Clear, Honest Results

We display everything we can determine from publicly available sources: international format, national format, E.164 format, country code, line type, carrier, timezone, and location region. If a data point is unavailable (because an API didn't return it or the data doesn't exist publicly), we display "Information not available" — we never fabricate or guess results.

About Our Data Sources

Google libphonenumber — An open-source library originally developed by Google, used for parsing, formatting, and validating phone numbers globally. It powers Android and is the gold standard for phone number processing.

Third-party APIs — For carrier lookup, timezone, and location data, we use legitimate API providers that aggregate publicly available telecom registration information. These results reflect publicly accessible data, not private subscriber records.

What we do not do: We never access private telecom records, intercept calls or SMS, reveal GPS location, expose personal identity, or perform any surveillance activity.
