About ProxyEarth
A phone number education platform built on transparency, accuracy, and privacy.
Our Mission
ProxyEarth was built to help people understand phone numbers — not to spy on them. Every day, people receive calls from unknown numbers, wonder what country a code belongs to, or need to understand how to format a number for international dialling. We built ProxyEarth to answer those questions using only publicly available data.
Our goal is simple: provide honest, educational information about phone numbers without crossing the line into surveillance. We do not track people, reveal personal identities, or expose private subscriber records. What we provide is the same information you could find in a public telephone directory or a telecom numbering plan document.
Our Values
Transparency
We are open about what data we collect, where it comes from, and what we do with it. We clearly disclose which information comes from open-source libraries, which comes from third-party APIs, and when data is unavailable. No black-box results.
Accuracy
We use Google's libphonenumber — the industry standard used by Android and Chrome — as our core parsing engine. When data is not available, we say so explicitly rather than guessing or fabricating results. We continuously review and improve our data pipelines.
Privacy
We do not store the phone numbers you look up. We do not sell user data. We do not reveal personal identity, GPS location, private addresses, or confidential telecom records. ProxyEarth is a tool for education, not surveillance.
What ProxyEarth Is Not
- Not a caller-ID or reverse-lookup service that reveals personal names or addresses
- Not a real-time GPS tracker or location monitoring tool
- Not connected to law enforcement, telecom operators, or government surveillance systems
- Not a call interception, SMS monitoring, or wiretapping service
